Working for us

Find out about our huge range of roles and what it's like working for Royal Collection Trust

  • Our roles

Lewis, Assistant Visitor Services Manager

We are the main public face of Royal Collection Trust, welcoming over two million people to the royal residences each year. We strive to be welcoming and knowledgeable ambassadors, and are committed to exceeding our visitors' expectations and ensuring that they have an unforgettable experience.

Seeing the reactions of people from all over the world as they enjoy the Palaces is extremely rewarding and gives us a real sense of pride. We work closely with colleagues across the Royal Household to maintain the highest standards of presentation within historic buildings that are both official residences of Her Majesty The Queen and world-famous visitor attractions.

Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse are managed by separate Visitor Services teams. Each offers a variety of roles, both front of house and in behind-the-scenes operations.

Flexibility is important. The average day might see us answering questions in the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace, leading a guided tour for schoolchildren or assisting visitors with access needs. A friendly and approachable manner, clear and confident communication skills and a real desire to provide excellent customer service are essential.
