Mobility access

Wheelchairs and lifts

Manual wheelchairs are available to borrow free of charge on a first come, first served basis for the duration of a visit.

Mobility scooters can be used in the Gallery, providing they are compatible with the lift which measures 145cm in depth by 82cm in width and has a weight limit of 1000kg. If you have any queries, please contact the Specialist Sales team on +44 (0)303 123 7324 or [email protected]

The Queen’s Gallery Shop is at split levels, with three steps between levels. A ramp is available on the left-hand side of the shop.

Flooring and surfaces

There are stone and polished wooden floors throughout. There are ornamental grilles in the flooring in each of the galleries.

Respite seating

Benches are provided in the lobby and in various locations with the Gallery.

Assistance animals

Assistance animals are welcome and water is available on request.

Shops

The Queen’s Gallery shop is at split levels, with three steps between levels. A ramp is available on the left-hand side of the shop.

The flooring is stone at the entrance and carpet in the shop.

Toilets

Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor of the Gallery.

Parking and transport

There is no parking available at The Queen’s Gallery. The nearest public parking is on Palace Street.

The following buses run close to The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace and are accessible for wheelchair users: 11,36, 211, C1 and C10.

The nearest London underground station with wheelchair access Green Park.
