Join us for the latest in our Slow Looking series, in collaboration with the Limina Collective.

The practice of Slow Looking provides a unique opportunity for us to explore an artwork through the lens of mindfulness. Inspired by our current exhibition Style & Society: Dressing the Georgians at The King's Gallery, Palace of Holyroodhouse, this event will focus on Sir David Wilkie’s striking portrait of King George IV, the first reigning monarch to visit Scotland since Charles II.

In this event, Lucia van der Drift from the Limina Collective will lead us through a relaxing and reflective hour of meditation, guided looking and journaling. Lucia will also be joined by Palace Learning Manager Lucy Wood who will share some more detailed insights about the significance of George IV’s visits to Scotland.

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
