Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh’s first child, Prince Charles, was born in 1948, followed by Princess Anne in 1950. This signed photograph of the family was taken in 1957 in the grounds of Buckingham Palace by Antony Armstrong-Jones (created Lord Snowdon following his marriage to Princess Margaret, the Queen’s sister, in 1961).
