Five years ago a burial site was discovered at Palace Green in the centre of the historic city of Durham. Using archaeological research they were identified as Scottish Covenanters, held as prisoners of war after the Battle of Dunbar in 1650. The loan of a locket containing the hair of Charles I, who had been executed in London a year earlier, will highlight the divisions across the England and Scotland during the Civil War.
