Full-length, standing, resting his left hand on a table on which sits a tall black ostrich-plumed hat, wearing the robes and chain of the Order of the Garter; he is framed between two red curtains and stands on a patterned carpet. This is presumably a later adaptation after the state portrait by van Somer which was painted c. 1620 (RCIN 404446).
