Pen rest of rhodonite in notched rectangular tapering form on continuous support, raised at an angle; mounted with triple lily of white enamel and chased gold set with three rose diamonds.
This elaborately decorated pen rest is one of a small group of pieces in the Royal Collection in the art nouveau style.
Gold mark of 56 zolotniks (1896-1908); initials of Carl Fabergé in Cyrillic characters
