RCIN 2943709

Princess Elizabeth was taken to four sittings with Marcus Adams while her parents were away. The photographs from these sittings were sent to the Duke and Duchess. On their return they thanked Adams and confessed that the photographs were always the first things they pulled out of the royal dispatch bag. Princess Elizabeth's nurse, Clara Knight, known as Allah, would sometimes write notes to accompany the photographs.
