Working in collaboration with The Poetry Society, Royal Collection Trust commissioned award-winning poet Alice Oswald to compose a poem following on from her visit to the exhibition Painting Paradise: The Art of the Garden.

Alongside readings from Milton and Dante, her reinterpretation of Homer and her garden-inspired poetry, Oswald premiered Shadow at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace, on 25 June 2015 to a full audience.
