The need to remount many of the drawings for the current exhibition provided an opportunity to remove old backings from three of the drawings. In this talk Alan Donnithorne, Head of Paper Conservation, will show how conservation work revealed two drawings not seen since the 18th century and how the exposure of the back of another helps us to understand Castiglione's technique.

Short Talks are free with an exhibition ticket or 1-Year Pass.
