Curated by Ashley Soloman, Chair of Historical Performance at the Royal College of Music, we present a series of concerts exploring the musical tastes of monachs from Charles II to Queen Victoria.

This evening concert will include pieces favoured by Charles II who preferred entertaining music over the serious chamber music that his father enjoyed.  The evening will feature pieces by Henry Purcell, Matthew Locke and John Blow, performed by Royal College of Music students. The evening will conclude with a private view of Charles II: Art & Power.
