Tapestries were among the richest and most costly furnishings of the early modern period. By 1500 they had become particularly popular with the nobility of northern Europe and played an important role as a means of movable interior decoration. This talk from Caroline de Guitaut, Curator of Decorative Arts, will look at the source of design and narrative of two examples of tapesties from this period.

10-Minute Talks are free with an exhibition ticket or 1-Year Pass.
