This court, or durbar, set of gold plates, boxes and vessels was presented to the Prince of Wales by Chamarajendra Wadiyar X, Maharaja of Mysore. Sets like this were used to hold perfume (attar) and ingredients such as seeds and spices for the preparation of paan.
