Impressive displays of weaponry have been a feature of royal palaces since the seventeenth century, and the Royal Armouries, Leeds, features a number of important examples of arms and armour from the Royal Collection.

To complement the Royal Collection Season on the BBC Royal Collection Trust's Senior Curator of Decorative Arts, Kathryn Jones, discussed some of these key pieces from the Royal Collection on display, including a set of Japanese samurai armour sent to James I in 1613, and a pair of colt pistols which belonged to Prince Albert.
