As part of a five-year partnership between Royal Collection Trust and the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull, an exceptional work of art from the Royal Collection will be displayed each year until 2021. Starting in 2017 Rembrandt van Rijn's The Shipbuilder and his Wife was on display from April to August, with other masterpieces set to go on display including works by renowned artists such as Hans Holbein and Canaletto, and a spectacular jewel cabinet made for Queen Victoria which was displayed at the Great Exhibition in 1851.

To complement the Royal Collection Season on the BBC Royal Collection Trust's Senior Curator of Paintings, Vanessa Remington, discussed the partnership, and the impressive triple portrait of Charles I by Van Dyck that will go on display in 2018 (28 April 28 - 29 July).
