BBC Devon

Since the reign of Charles II Devon has had strong links with the monarchy.

To complement the Royal Collection Season on the BBC Royal Collection Trust's Senior Curator of Decorative Arts, Kathryn Jones, discusses some of the key pieces from the Royal Collection with links to the county, including the impressive Exeter Salt, a silver-gilt table salt in the form of a tower presented to Charles II by the City of Exeter in 1660, and the Plymouth Fountain, a silver-gilt wine fountain  presented to the monarch by the City of Plymouth in 1661, which resides in the Jewel House at the Tower of London.
