After its capture by the Prussians, Napoleon’s carriage was presented to the British government. It was brought to London in 1815, and purchased by William Bullock for exhibition at his Museum of Natural Curiosities on Piccadilly. Eager crowds visited to see the carriage and the objects captured with it. Thomas Rowlandson’s comic print records the air of excitement surrounding the exhibition. The carriage is now at the Chateau de Malmaison, a Napoleonic museum near Paris.
