The exhibition consists of two themes: Mythology and Regency.

Mythology looks at the re-telling of classical Greek and Roman myths in paintings, sculpture, furniture, decorative arts and works on paper.

In Regency, the 200th anniversary of the Regency Act of 1811 is celebrated through the extravagant collecting of the Prince Regent (who became King George IV).

The artworks in these displays are part of the Royal Collection and have been brought together from the different royal residences including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, The Palace of Holyroodhouse and Hampton Court Palace.
