Turban and ear ornaments

Jewellery from India usually incorporated elements of nature. Here, the turban ornament mimics the feather, an established symbol of royalty status from the Mughal courts. The ear ornaments emulate flowers. Although presented together, these items of jewellery were probably not intended to be worn together; turban ornaments were usually worn by men and ear ornaments of this type were worn by women.
