This poem was composed by C. Day-Lewis before his Laureateship in honour of the birth of Prince Andrew (later Duke of York) on 19 February 1960, and set to music by Sir Arthur Bliss, Master of The Queen’s Music. It contains a manuscript copy of the poem written out by the poet, and a manuscript copy of the score by the composer. Presented to Queen Elizabeth II by C. Day-Lewis and Sir Arthur Bliss, 1960
