The Queen made a historic first State Visit to the Republic of Ireland in 2011. For the occasion of the State Dinner Her Majesty wore this elegant white evening dress, its bodice embellished with chiffon shamrocks - the national emblem of Ireland - and with a diamante harp – another important emblem of Ireland.
