Worn for the Malta State Visit, 1967. Although renowned for his elaborate evening gowns, Hartnell shared responsibility with Hardy Amies for supplying day ensembles to The Queen for more than three decades. The clean lines of this 1960s ensemble are seen in the tailored princess line dress and matching coat with three-quarter length sleeves.
