Delhi Durbar Necklace and Cullinan VII Pendant

c.1911

RCIN 200134

The striking modern design of this necklace incorporates nine emeralds originally owned by Queen Mary's grandmother, the Duchess of Cambridge. The pendant emerald is counterbalanced by the pendant 8.8 carat marquise-cut Cullinan VII diamond. The necklace was made as part of the suite of jewellery which Queen Mary had made for the Delhi Durbar.
