Cullinan VI and VIII Brooch

The marquise-cut pendant stone- Cullinan VI - weighs 11.5 metric carats and was purchased by King Edward VII for Queen Alexandra in 1908. It was inherited by Queen Mary in 1925 and since then has generally been worn as a pendant to Cullinan VIII, an emerald-cut diamond of 6.8 metric carats.
