View of Burlington House

1746

RCIN 400685

Antonio Visentini and Francesco Zuccarelli collaborated on a series of overdoor paintings for Smith, showing important examples of British architecture in the style of Palladio. The original Burlington House was designed by architect William Kent for Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington (1694–1753), who did much to promote the Palladian style in England.
