One of the final commissions Sebastiano completed was for an altarpiece for the church of Santa Lucia at Parma. He shows the saint receiving the Holy Sacrament, with her executioner drawing his sword behind. Angels bearing a martyr's crown and palm are waiting above. Towards the end of his life Sebastiano's handling of pen and wash had become much looser in style.
