Flinck and Bol - Rembrandt's Master Pupils at Museum het Rembrandthuis [Amsterdam]

Organised by the Museum Het Rembrandthuis in collaboration with the Amsterdam Museum, the exhibition focuses on the work of Govert Flinck and Ferdinand Bol, both pupils of Rembrandt. There will be parallel displays at both venues. While the display at the Rembrandthuis will focus on the training of both artists in Rembrandt's atelier, the display at the Amsterdam Museum will explore their careers as independent masters. The exhibition also presents a unique and exciting opportunity to seek further clarification on the attribution of the Royal Collection's Bearded Old Man in a Fur Cloak, which has just undergone conservation treatment. The exhibition's curators believe the painting to be a work by Bol, and it will be displayed at the Rembrandthuis alongside other examples from the artist's early career.
