A pencil and watercolour drawing of a girl in a pink dress, half-reclining on a green sofa. Inscribed below on the modern mount, 'Lady Wallace', probably copied from an earlier one. Sandby must have known the work of French artists such as Francois Boucher, Philippe Mercier and Bernard Picart, who often drew reclining ladies. The sitter has not been identified. The same sitter is shown in RCIN 914429.
