A hand-coloured print critical of the Prince of Wales and his suitability to rule as regent. It shows the Prince being led to the Coronation Chair by Britannia. The steps are formed of the 'The Voice of the People' and 'Public Safety.' Leaning on the left of the chair is Fox holding the scales of justice (actually two dice box) and Sheridan holding the cap of Liberty. Pitt, on the right, holds an extinguisher to eliminate the 'puppet shew'. A satire on the print 'The Times' from a few days earlier, which supported the Prince's claim to be regent. Inscribed in the plate: Pub Decr. 29. 1788, by S. Fores No. 3. Piccadilly
