This flower was made in the workshop of Feodor Afanassiev, who specialised in producing small objets d’art such as miniature Easter eggs and picture frames. It is an interesting example of the use of different coloured golds, the matt red gold of the stems contrasting with the powdery yellow spun gold of the flowers.
