Working for Royal Collection Trust

A Warden talking about the multimedia guide during the Summer Opening of Buckingham Palace

Royal Collection Trust is one of the five departments of the Royal Household, and the only one that undertakes its activities without recourse to public funds. We employ approximately 500 staff to manage the public opening of the official residences of Her Majesty The Queen and to care for the Royal Collection, one of the world's greatest art collections.

We seek to employ the best people from the widest available pool of talent to work within a diverse range of roles, including:

  • Conservation
  • Curatorship
  • Finance
  • Human resources
  • Learning
  • Marketing
  • Press
  • Publishing
  • Retail
  • Ticket sales
  • Visitor experience

Our staff members are based in offices, conservation studios and on visitor routes in Buckingham Palace, St James's Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

We aim to provide our employees with job satisfaction, opportunities for development and a stimulating working environment, where everybody's contribution is valued and respected.

You can find out more about what we do and see our staff in action in this video.
