Official commemorative royal baby china

An official range of chinaware has been produced by Royal Collection Trust to celebrate the birth of HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.  The designs show the lion and unicorn from the Royal Arms, in the style of figures from a carousel, as well as the coronet of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and a pattern of oak leaves from the Middleton family’s coat of arms.  Each piece bears the words 'Celebrating our new royal baby', and the star and tassel motifs previously seen on the china to celebrate HRH Prince George of Cambridge's birth. ... A story written by Queen Victoria at the age of ten is to be published for the first time this summer.  The Adventures of Alice Laselles by Alexandrina Victoria, Aged 10 and 3/4 gives a fascinating and endearing glimpse into the vivid imagination of the future monarch.  The earliest work by the Queen ever to be published, it tells the tale of a twelve-year-old girl who is sent away to boarding school after her father remarries.  Princess Victoria originally called her story 'The School', but then changed the title to 'Alice', in honour of her lead protagonist.  ... Magnificent model of Japanese architectural treasure returns to Tokyo

A spectacular 1:10 scale model of one of Tokyo's most important lost architectural treasures has returned to Japan after more than 100 years. Part of the British Royal Collection, the model represents the Taitokuin Mausoleum, the memorial to Tokugawa Hidetada (1579 –1632), the second Tokugawa Shogun.
