Join us at the Palace of Holyroodhouse and The Queen's Gallery, Edinburgh on Sunday, 27 November and enjoy free admission and family activities to celebrate St Andrew's Day. Fast-track entry will be offered to visitors who pre-register for tickets online.

Visitors to the Palace can explore the State and Historic Apartments with a free audio guide and discover the Palace's dramatic history as the home of some of Scotland's most well-known figures, including Mary, Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. Visitors will also be able to find out more about the role the Palace plays today as the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen in Scotland.

Families visiting the Palace can get involved in arts and crafts activities to make their very own crown or get dressed up in historic costumes in the Family Room. Family audio guides and activity trails through the Palace, the historic Abbey and the Palace Gardens will also be available.

At The Queen's Gallery, the exhibition Painting Paradise: The Art of the Garden explores the many ways in which the garden has been celebrated in art. From spectacular paintings to epic royal landscapes to jewel-like manuscripts and delicate botanical studies, the exhibition reveals the changing character of the garden and its enduring appeal to artists from the 16th to the early 20th century.

Throughout the day visitors can enjoy hot apple cider and warm syrup waffles in the Palace Courtyard or even indulge in an Afternoon Tea in the Café at the Palace.  A 20% discount at the Royal Collection Trust shop will also be offered to all visitors on the day.
