Things to look out for:

Sherry

Find out why all Poet Laureates receive a barrel of sherry. Use the family activity bag to design and create your own drink and bottle.

Rhyming Couplets 

Create your very own minature rhyming poems.

The works of Carol Ann Duffy

Find out about the current Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy. Her poems have been turned into works of art for the exhibition. 

Practical information

  • Lavatories and baby-care facilities are available in the Mews Courtyard.
  • Café at the Palace offers refreshments throughout the day, from drinks and light snacks to a changing menu of freshly prepared lunch dishes.
  • The Palace Shop has a number of items priced between £2 and £5. There is a wide range of interesting gifts for children.
  • At the end of your visit, don’t forget to ask a Warden to stamp your ticket and convert it into a 1-Year Pass. Then visit us again.
