The tour is introduced by The Prince of Wales, Chairman of the Royal Collection Trust, and takes you through all the State Rooms and the special exhibition. The commentary provides a lively guide to royal history and the works of art from the Royal Collection. You hear about the Palace’s transformation over the last 300 years, from its early beginnings as Buckingham House to the world-famous building we see today.
Along the route, staff of the Royal Household explain the role of the Palace as an official residence of The Queen and talk about their work, from arranging State Banquets and Garden Parties to cleaning the chandeliers.
Join two young presenters, David and Natalie, who will guide you through the Palace with a little extra help from Rex the Corgi who pops up to explain things to younger family members.
The Family Multimedia Guide is available in English and is aimed at families with children under 12.
