Friday, 6 June 2003

The Royal Collection is an acknowledged leader in the design of commemorative items for Royal occasions. To mark the 21st birthday of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, the Royal Collection has commissioned a special range of fine bone china.  The official 21st Birthday Range has been produced in Stoke-on-Trent exclusively for the Royal Collection.

The range consists of a Tall Mug (£21.00), a Limited-edition Beaker (£75.00) and a Limited-edition Plate (£75.00).  Each piece features elements taken from Prince William's personal arms. These include his coronet as a son of the Heir Apparent, the three lions of England from his shield and an escallop (shell) derived from the Spencer family arms. All items are individually decorated before final embellishment with 22ct gold.  The products are tissue-wrapped in their own presentation box, with a commemorative gift leaflet and certificate of authenticity.

The 21st Birthday Range will be on sale from 7 June at the Royal Collection shop on Buckingham Palace Road, at The Queen's Gallery and the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace and at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.

From 1 July orders for the 21st Birthday Range may be placed on-line atwww.royal.gov.uk.
