Marriage ceremonial and chorale sheet

10 March 1863

Printed by Harrison and Sons. Chorale words by Thomas Oliphant (1799-1873)

Princess Alexandra (later Queen)

The printed ceremonial for the marriage was bound in red velvet. A Chorale, with music composed by Prince Albert, was sung as the bridal group approached the altar. Queen Victoria was much affected on hearing the Chorale, as Prince Albert had died just over a year before the wedding.
