Pair of candlesticks

Magnify image

In February and March 1966, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh undertook a five-week tour of the Caribbean.

The Queen addressed Parliament in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and was presented by the Governor of Trinidad and Tobago with this pair of carved wooden candlesticks. They represent the Scarlet Ibis and the Cocrico which form the supporters of the Coat of Arms of Trinidad and Tobago.
