Installed 1488 (under Henry VII)

Created a Knight of the Garter after fighting for Henry VII at the Battle of Stoke (1487). Served as an ambassador for Henry VIII, for whom he travelled to France and Scotland. His support for Henry was crucial in suppressing the rebellions of 1536.
