William Blount, fourth Baron Mountjoy

Aged around twenty, travelled to Paris, where he employed Erasmus and brought him back to England. Encouraged the education of the young Prince Henry. Appointed master of the mint and Lieutenant of Hammes Castle when Henry became King. Chamberlain to Katherine of Aragon from 1512 until his death, and expressed discomfort at the need to press the Queen to accept the divorce, although he remained loyal to Henry throughout.
