Henry Percy, fifth Earl of Northumberland

c.1502-1537

Son of Henry Algernon Percy, fourth earl of Northumberland. At one time the intended husband of Anne Boleyn. Given military powers in the north, and appointed warden of the middle and eastern marches in 1527. An old foe of Cardinal Wolsey, he was sent to arrest him in 1530. Died aged only thirty-five.
