New for 2014, groups can book a guided walk through the historic Palace gardens combined with a visit to the Historic State Apartments. Including parts of the grounds not normally open to the public, the tour takes you through the ruins of the 12th-century Abbey to the site of the ancient menagerie, the 17th-century sundail and the Jubilee Border. You will also see where The Queen's annual Garden Party takes place and where the Royal Company of Archers practise archery.
Following the tour of the gardens the group will be provided with refreshments in Cafe at the Palace before the visit continues to the historic chambers and State Apartments. A visit to the Palace of Holyroodhouse lasts approximately 2½ hours, and a guided tour of the garden lasts 30 minutes.
