In this talk Lucy Whitaker, Senior Curator of Paintings, will look at two of the German paintings in the exhibition which were painted in the same year. Cranach’s Apollo and Diana is a mythical scene, while Holbein’s Noli me Tangere shows a miracle. Landscape is a powerful element in both paintings and vitally important in telling these very different stories.
10-Minute Talks are free with an exhibition ticket or 1-Year Pass.
