Pupila Augusta is one of Dürer’s most enigmatic works. This talk from Kate Heard, Curator of Prints and Drawings, will look at the meaning behind the drawing and question why it was made, as well as exploring how the artist returned to the study over two decades later in order to produce his beautiful print of St Anthony.
10-Minute Talks are free with an exhibition ticket or 1-Year Pass.
Relates to The Northern Renaissance exhibition at The Queen's Gallery, London, 2012-2013.
