Groups enjoy a Private Tour of Buckingham Palace


The Royal Collection welcomes visitors at eight sites across the United Kingdom, and is pleased to offer an exciting array of visits and private tours specifically designed for groups. To assist group organisers in planning a visit, the most frequently requested information relating to group visits is listed below. Group admission prices

Groups can enjoy reduced admission prices on standard day visits for groups of 15 people or more at all sites, except Clarence House and Frogmore House.

Group bookings and payment

Pre-booking is required for Buckingham Palace, and Frogmore House. It is advisable to pre-book at The Queen’s Galleries in London and Edinburgh.

Groups are not required to book in advance for Windsor Castle, the Royal Mews or the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Tickets can be purchased on the day from the Ticket Desk.

Groups can reserve and book selected tickets on the Royal Collection website or by telephoning the Ticket Sales and Information Office on +44 (0)20 7766 7321.

Pre-booked group tickets must be paid 28 days prior to the day of the visit. All pre-booked groups can be paid for by credit card or cheque. On-the-day group visits must be paid for by cash or credit card.

The following credit cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB and Switch/Maestro. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Royal Collection Enterprises Limited’.

Private tours for groups

A wide range of exclusive tours for groups are available at Royal Collection sites.  In the company of an expert guide, groups can go ‘behind the ropes’ at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle or the Palace of Holyroodhouse, spend a summer’s evening at Frogmore House, explore the gardens at Buckingham Palace or enjoy a private view of the latest exhibition.

All special visits and private tours must be pre-booked and different payment terms apply.

Image-download service

An image-download facility is available to group organisers who wish to promote visits to Royal Collection sites. Registration for the service is free. By registering, you will be able to download hi-res images for use in your publicity material. All images must be credited to the photographer and bear the copyright of the Royal Collection as a condition of use. Visit the image-download service.

Guiding at the Royal Collection
