  • Collected art from the Netherlands
  • ‘She preferred pictures to the company of living people’ (Lord Salisbury)
  • Keen participant in many elaborate court masques
  • The Queen’s House at Greenwich and the Queen’s Chapel, St James’s Palace, were planned for her by Inigo Jones
