Prince Charles and Princess Anne, 12 April 1954

Prince Charles and Princess Anne sat for Adams twice during their parents’ absence, in February and April of 1954. The photographs from these sittings were sent out to The Queen and the Duke, just as photographs of Princess Elizabeth had been sent to the Duke and Duchess of York during their tour of Australia and New Zealand in 1927. The measuring stick was included to show how fast the children were growing.
