MARCUS ADAMS (1875-1959)

Princess Elizabeth (b.1926), 2 December 1926

2 Dec 1926

RCIN 2943585

The Duke and Duchess of York visited Adams’s studio in early December 1926, taking their daughter Princess Elizabeth – who was just over seven months old at the time – for her first sitting with the photographer. This was to be the first of many sittings with Adams, during which a number of successful portraits were made, both of the Princess alone, and with her parents.
