Soft-paste Sèvres porcelain wine bottle coolers. Bleu céleste ground and gilded decoration. Moulded white rim edged with gold and a gilded foot ring. The gilded frames of the two reserves are composed of a foliate moulding along the top and of a laurel trail along the sides and bottom; the laurel trail, attached at the top by a stud, extends in a loop below each foliate handle. Threaded through the loop and seemingly passing behind the handles are crossed bay-leaf branches.
