A pencil and watercolour drawing of a seated female figure playing a spinet, wearing a blue flounced and frilled dress, a cap with crimson ribbon and a rolled scarf around her neck. Inscribed below on the modern mount, probably copied from an earlier one, 'Mrs Eyre'. A red chalk drawing in the Huntington Library (59.55.1144) is another version of the same drawing. Oppé has suggested that this is the same sitter as in RCIN 914378.
